Anchovy is called 'Netholi' in my language. Though it appears pretty small among all other fish giants in the market, most of of us know that , it is a very tasty fish and an excellent source of calcium. Even my maternal uncle who is a vegetarian recommends it !!!

- Anchovy - Remove the head and tail and wash well.
- Tamarind
- Turmeric Powder
- Chilly Powder
- Salt
- Curry Leaves
- Fenugreek Powder
- Raw Mango - Peel and cut into rectangular pieces.
- Coconut Paste
How to Make ?
- Extract the tamarind juice. Keep tamarind pieces in water for 15 minutes for getting the juice.
- Boil the tamarind juice along with red chilly powder, turmeric powder, fenugreek powder and salt.
- Once this boils, add anchovy and mango pieces and mix it well.
- Add some fresh curry leaves and let it get cooked. Keep the flame to medium. Ensure that most of the water content is evaporated.
- Once the fish and mango pieces are cooked, add the coconut paste and let it simmer for 5 more minutes.
Your curry is ready, garnish with more curry leaves and serve with hot rice.Enjoy!
